Coaching & Courses

We hope to arrange training for prospective coaches and club leadership starting in the new year. It is hoped to train at least 6 new coaches by the summer, more details to follow shortly.

Anyone interested should contact Phil or Jeff who will point them in the right direction.

A new system for clubs has been introduced by Canoe Wales, it is now up and running. It's called 'Canoe Wales Supervisors Award' . It allows any competent paddler or person to apply for a supervisors award in specific areas, without being a coach. Examples are river leader on different grades, pool session organisers, beach sessions, coastal trips or any club based activity.

Assessment will be related to experience, safety and personal ability. More details available from Jeff.
